We saw a dy King Parrot yesterday. A young one was continuously begging
and being fed by a male adult at the top end of Chisholm St in Ainslie.
I took a couple of photos with the compact camera I had with me on the
bike - not much of a zoom on the camera and the parrots were just small
dots in the centre of the images. This is a crop from the centre of the
frame that I had to severely manipulate in GIMP to correct the two or
three stops underexposure with the backlighting.

Despite the lack of breeding records for King Parrots in Canberra, I'm
sure there are plenty of records of KPs with dy. However there was one
yesterday morning in our yard in Hughes.
