Howdy All,
Probably a bird I should have seen a lot of, but it was a first for
me. When I was at the National Zoo & Aquarium today I was watching a
Black Faced Cuckoo Shrike. I have a vague feeling I might have seen
one before, but it certainly isn't something I usually see
about. Unfortunately I get little chance to travel and look for
things, but I thought I would mention it in case it were of interest
to anyone? I've never observed one there in previous visits. It was
a lot bigger than I expected!!
Just in case anyone is interested, it was right near the entrance in
a tree above the Marmosets. A nice addition to the things I viewed
at the zoo, including the adorable baby Ring tailed Lemurs that have
only recently been on public display.
Cheers.
