Flushed from the dam at the end of Kathner St Chapman.  An immature with a black cap but still streaked etc plumage.  It landed on an open perch allowing good views for several minutes before it flew off over the Chapman horse paddocks, an Australian Raven in pursuit.

This is the first time I’ve recorded this species in the local area in over 35 years of living here.  This seems to be indicative of the relative abundance of this species over the past 6 months or so, I’ve always found it to be relatively thinly spread in the COG area of interest.
