Yesterday I noted another nesting hollow overtaken by bees – in Telopea Park, Barton, right near the playground.

In previous years I have seen this nesting hollow on the median strip of Captain Cook Crescent in Griffith being used by Galahs (eg see http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au/archives/html/canberrabirds/2010-11/msg00151.html). However, in the last few weeks the hollow has been taken over by bees.
