A local observer has just reported to me seeing, in mid-November - she can't remember the exact date, a flock of 200 Pelicans crossing the Tarago Rd just East of Bungendore.  She was concentrating on her driving so couldn't tell their precise direction but they seemed to going more towards Lake George than Lake Bathurst.  This seems to be a large flock for this area so anyone visiting the Lakes might keep an eye out to see if they are still around.
