G'day All, I will throw my two cents in on this if that is alright. I have been contributing to the BA Atlas for many years and maintain my own database for a few favourite sites. I also move around a far bit so BA has been good for having on nation wide method of submitting. As Julian as stated I am loathe to enter multiple observations on different sites so I do not do a GBS nor (other than for Blitz) have I submitted COG entries. I have used the Birdline to enter one list and link it through to the BA Atlas using my observer id. After 24 hrs that entry is not appearing in my data on the BA Atlas so I will not be doing that again as I have no faith that the data is being transferred effectively. As requested I have been copying my COG chat line observations onto Birdline but they are different formats so that is also time consuming. For me the main use of the chat line and birdline is to find out interesting observations in the area rather than data entry. I will continue to enter BA Atlas data and report interesting observations on this chat line and the birdline. All this is an interesting dilemma that the government department I work for is also striving to resolve with no apparent success!
