Yes all true enough. It appears to me though that these big chough nests that Tawny Frogmouths sometimes use are nowhere near as well hidden as their normal little stick nest. The frogmouths are not as well equipped to handle harassment from other birds like miners and butcherbirds, as are a whole family of choughs. But they must succeed sometimes. There is a little word use correction on this though, in that the nest doesn't hold fledglings. They are nestlings when in the nest and called fledglings after they have left the nest. So a nest (normally) does not hold fledglings.

Maybe mud-nests are a considered a great option by some of these birds. The Morcombe Guide that includes typical nest pictures shows Tawny Frogmouths as having a loose nest made of sticks, but I guess they're opportunists. In both pictures, the nest looks OK for eggs, but far too small to accommodate a growing family of fledglings.
