COG AGM Wednesday night

Just a reminder that the (brief) COG AGM will be held at the start of the
meeting on Wednesday night  (12 Oct). 
 The agenda for
the meeting appeared in the October Gang-Gang, and if you are interested
in being on the Committee a nomination form appeared in the September
Gang-Gang - there will also be some available at the meeting.
An
attendance sheet will be available - if you are a financial member of COG
please sign the sheet as you enter the meeting.  For those who are
interested the draft minutes of last year's AGM are available on the COG
website (scroll down to near the bottom of the Meetings page). A very
limited number of printed copies will be available at the door.

The speaker after the AGM will be Associate Professor Darryl

Jones of the Environmental Futures Centre, Griffith University

Queensland , with a presentation entitled “Heaven

and Hell: Why some birds love cities and most don’t”. 

Members may be familiar with Darryl’s research, in particular

 

his work on magpies and feeding birds in gardens, so you

 

won’t want to miss this presentation.
