We had great views of a beautiful male Spotted Quail-thrush last Wed at Bull’s Head picnic area, where we saw a pair of them a few years ago. He was pottering up near the big picnic shelter. Chestnut-rumped Heathwren? Good luck with that! We have never managed to see them, in a lot of years of looking in places where they are said to be found, so let us know if you find them!

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on where I could look for Spotted Quail-thrush & Chestnut-rumped Heathwren,  in the ACT & whether I was likely to find them at this time of year.

Thanks greatly,

Scott Ryan
