You could try and might be successful. They certainly have both occurred in the ACT in recent years as shown in prior records. I have been watching birds in the ACT since 1983 and have never seen either in the ACT.
 
So, possible: certainly, but likely: definitely not (unless you have months or years available to look). I don't know that any time of year is better than other times.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on where I could look for Spotted Quail-thrush & Chestnut-rumped Heathwren,  in the ACT & whether I was likely to find them at this time of year.
