Yes it
certainly does look like a Brown-headed Honeyeater. This behaviour has been
noted several times before of Honeyeaters pulling fur from animals (no doubt as
lining for their nest, so you could I guess use this as a NB record). There were
some articles (or just 1?) on the subject in Aust Bird Watcher, I
think, several years ago. Well I actually know of it from koalas, sheep and
people and I think it was White-eared Honeyeaters, but no reason why various
Honeyeater species would not do it. I have not ever seen it. Probably happens
much more that we get to see, let alone photograph.
