I usually refrain from taking photos of kangaroos when I am on the lookout for birds, but I couldn't help myself on this one. Am I right in saying that this is a Brown-headed Honeyeater picking what-evers from the fir of this local? It is the last thing I would have expected to see. Couldn't get any closer or they both would have moved on.
And right when I thought that the Robin varieties had headed back to the hills we counted 17 Flame Robins (8 males, 2 immatures and 7 females) on the open ground below the Turkey Hill walk, and a pair of Scarlets closer to the parking lot and trees on the right. 5 Australasian Pipits, and many Dusky Woodswallows were between the carpark and the hill top.
