Chris,

How was the bird life at TSW generally?  I went up to Gibraltar Falls this morning on yet another fruitless attempt to catch up with the lyrebird -who manages to catch me unawares, but never when I have the camera set up and waiting.  Things were pretty quiet there and bloody cold.  On the way home I stopped at Woods Reserve.  There is a large dense plantation of young native trees of many species.  One would expect it to have been alive with little birds, but not so.  Perhaps it is just too early in the season.

Cheers

Margaret.

Hi All

Tharwa Sandwash yesterday.. short-billed corellas in and out of a hollow on opposite bank very high up in a euc. The hollow is very visible, it’s a whitish tree and edges of hollow are brown.

Regards

Chris Hastir
