I'd
suggest not specifically common behaviour in terms of being frequent, but is
common behaviour in that this sort of thing is known that cockatoos will
interact in what appears to be playful ways, with other birds, such as raptors,
ravens, currawongs, etc. I haven't noticed it with pigeons but that doesn't mean
anything. It typically looks like the play is one sided to the cockatoos though,
in most cases. But that may be anthropomorphic bias in what a person can
perceive.

I saw a single sulphur crested cockatoo chasing the resident
flock of feral pigeons that lives near the Equinox complex in Deakin. I
wasn’t sure that it was actually chasing them until a colleague pointed it out
as well. Is this common behaviour for cockatoos?
