Subject: Reed-Warbler calling in winter

My yesterday's message 30.06.11 got lost.
Following Tony Willis's weekend directions, we found a Clamorous Reed-Warbler south of the ramp at Macdermott Place L.Ginninderra. It flew up from the reeds into a very small casuarina - good views. AND at the same time a second C. Reed-Warbler was calling loudly from reeds a little further north.

So the species do not all stay quiet in winter. Might be worth checking in a month's time.
