A handful of Wallaroos are regularly in Goorooyarroo, on the NW slopes of Old Joe Hill. Its a while since I've been there so I can't vouch for them still being there. The valley to the south of the Hill is called Euro Valley. On the 2009 Bird Blitz weekend I saw all four of our local kangaroo species there (Eastern Grey, Wallaroo, Swamp & Red Necked Wallaby).

(Entrance clearly marked APPROXIMATELY 2km west of Coppins Crossing Road, along William Hovell Drive.) Kookas vigorously disputing the point - maybe a youngster being evicted rather than inter-territorial, but?? Also a group of four Wallaroos/Euros - perhaps the first I've seen in CNP.
Tree Martins and a Pallid Cuckoo calling; I am not going to stick my neck out and suggest whether either of these is unusual for the time of year.
