Seen while on a bike ride today:

Male Red-capped Robin on Windellama Road about half way between Goulburn and Windellama. Very obligingly perched on the top of the roadside fence a few metres away, and sat there for so long that we gave up before he did, and rode off.

On Mountain Ash Road between Bungonia and Goulburn, a pair of quail flushed from almost under our wheels at the side of the road. Couldn't see any obvious striping on the back as they flew away, so a guess at Brown Quail.

Nick
