Our neighbour has a large Liquid Amber tree, and at this time each year
the Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos become absolutely besotted with the seeds.
For the past week or so there have been between half a dozen and a dozen
of them feeding in the tree all day every day. The Cockatoos become very
silent, too, so much so that we wondered if the seeds have some narcotic
effect on them. Has this aspect ever been researched?
