Geoffrey From some conversations I have had with long time Canberra residents i thought it likely that some (hopefully many) members of this line would not have been born when the Kelly's moved on. I haven't been able to prove this but on Googling the topic I came up with http://www.hsoc.org.au/Articles/COMMERCIAL_VEGETABLE_GROWING_IN_THE_ACT.PDF which was rather interesting in terms of the history of the Pialligo/Fyshwick/Duntroon area generally. I was particularly taken with the comment "There was talk that the use of pesticides could destroy bird populations, and yet a professor of ornithology from the ANU was a frequent visitor to the Hill farm because of the large and diverse population of birds."
