Co-operation is one thing. Sharing is another.
In the below snap you might notice 2 things, among others. One is a
cormorant. The other is a small fish in possession of Mr E. As soon
as the egret got the fish the cormorant lunged at the larger bird perhaps
hoping to cause a fumble, having recently been watching the Australian cricket
team, and the egret was off. It didn’t stop for a swallow until it was 20
metres away. A hungry LPC can show some spirit. Incidentally, Kelly
Swamp is named for the farmer who had the lease and lived in a house on the
site of the present educational centre. My next-door neighbour was at
school with the Kelly boys, so not all that long ago.
