About a week ago a fellow told me that as he was driving out of the LMWQCC at c.1600 hrs he glanced south west and saw a flock of some 12 brolgas grazing on a distant hillside over on the other side of the Uriarra Road. It was drizzling rain at the time. I gave the remark scant credence as from past experience  I know this garrulous palooka has a penchant for the apocryphal. Nonetheless, in the aftermath of Roger Curnow’s report on what he considered  may have been a brolga I thought it could be worth a mention albeit a probable long shot.
