In the last day i have been told of the following records from the Carwoola area
  • Grey Shrike-thrush - nest with one egg in same ice-cream container as last year.
  • White-browed scrubwren- nest with young.  They appear to have fledged this afternoon, just before I arrived to inspect the nest.  Interestingly the nest was in a coil of rope hanging on a wall in a farm shed.  While an unusal site this exactly matches one of the examples cited in HANZAB!  It is also early but not impossibly so.
