Other points to consider re the possible Pallid Cuckoo DY:
HANZAB indicates that courtship feeding of the females by males is common
in spring;. and the female can take on postures and calls similar to a
begging dy as the male brings food.
In eastern Australia laying from Aug - Mar, and June, but mainly Aug - Jan,
with the peak Oct - Nov.
