I have been assured that we will be able to get the gate code required to drive in to Blues Tiles picnic area in Kowen Forest.  

So the plan will be to gather at 9am at the Molonglo Gorge Car Park (see attached image)  for a car pooling exercise.  Depending on what is around we may spend a few minutes developing the car park list a little more.  The 5 or 6km drive to Blue Tiles picnic ground (through the gate) is in part along dirt roads but won't require 4WD.  We'll scout the area around the picnic ground and then wander a few hundred metres to a peninsula with quite productive native woodland (as well as reedbeds along the river.

Please note that TAMS are a tad concerned about people meandering around the Forest so we should travel in Convoy as far as possible.
