Hi Janet,
I have seen Galahs doing similar damage on several
occasions but no complete ringbarking as far as I remember. I have watched one
such tree E mannifera for 35+years in the park that I can see
from my house. The damage was mainly in a fork and has developed into a
hollow that I have seen Galahs entering in recent years.
