I watched it, or most of it, until at the end I was not that interested
any more. It looked to me like they were Peregrine eggs shown. Most of
the birds shown were Harris Hawks but there were Peregrines shown also.
Hard to comment on whether there is a problem in Australia.

Was anyone else watching Midsomer Murders last night? Peregrine
falcons, and the illegal trade, in Britain, of their eggs was an
interesting feature of the programme. Does anyone know whether egg
collecting in Australia still a problem? Years ago we met customs
officials in the Kimberley, who were out to catch illegal egg
collectors.
