A friend has just a message including the following "Telopea School Oval was white with cockatoos. We did a quick estimate and decided there were in excess of 500 birds. Perhaps the school reseeded the oval this morning. If so, I suspect they need to do it again." Does anyone know what has attracted the cockies to this Oval? I have always assumed they are munching capeweed and similar roots on the central reservations of main roads but can't imagine that would be allowed on a prestigious school oval. Martin |
