Todays ANPS Wednesday Walk went to Scott NR off Mulloon Road between Bungendore and Braidwood. Bird life was quite sparse to start with, in a Casurina forest. We found some chewings as evidence that Glossy Black-cockatoos had been in the area some fair time ago, but didn't se or hear them today. Once we got into some more open woodland the number and diversity of birds picked up and I recorded a total of 24 species - all the usual suspects. Several small flocks of honeyeaters flew over, mainly Yellow-faced with a few White-naped mixed in. They were heading NE. Other honeyeaters recorded were Brown-headed, White-eared and Red Wattlebird.
