Hello subscribers
I'm looking for volunteers to give the first 20
minutes or so short presentations at COG meetings to help fill a couple of gaps
I have for the remainder of 2010.
In particular I'm looking for, after Bruce
Lindemayer's excellent and very well received presentation on thornbills at the
March meeting, speakers who would be happy to give bird of the month
talks.
These can be on any species of your choice, but
should be on local birds. While Bruce and Dan Mantle last year on cuckoos
covered quite a few species together, I would be happy if you limit the number,
say to a couple of species that might be easily confused.
An example may be the Little and Long-billed
Corellas, the female Golden (a winter visitor) and Rufous Whistlers, the Brown
Goshawk and Collared Sparrowhawk, the Pied and Grey Currawong, or the local
flycatchers.
I would love to hear from anyone who is happy to
make such a presentation, particularly if it can be for the 12 May
meeting.
