I have attached a cross tabulation of the GBS Breeding records for Noisy Miner.  It would seem that your birds are rather later than has previously been recorded.  The latest recorded nest with young is in week 8 and your birds have to finish building the nest, lay and incubate the eggs and rear the young to flying stage.  A tough ask I suspect.

That being said HANZAB does indicate that the species can breed all through the year, but in most areas the species is noted to breed in the "normal" season. I could see no mention of rain inducing breeding but this has been a weird year weather-wise thus far!

On Callum Brae this morning I sat and watched a pair of noisy miners building a nest in the SE corner, about 15 metres up a straggling young eucalypt.  The nest has not yet been lined because you can still see daylight through it when empty.   Although there were two  birds around, I only saw one at the nest at any one time.  Both birds, though were actively engaged in chasing off visiting magpies and currawongs.

Are noisy miners a species whose breeding is governed more by rainfall than by the time of year?
