Not a bad guess Geoffrey.  Roy Harvey and I paddled Black Mtn. Peninsula this afternoon and counted 27 occupied Little Black Cormorant nests and probably about 150 birds, ratio of adults to young unknown. In addition there were at least 10 smaller birds still in nests.  The  veg. (as pointed out by Geoffrey) made it hard to do a count, along with nests practically on top of each other.   Other species:  10 Darters, no nests that we could see;  6 Little Pied Cormorants tending 2 nests which contained up to 6 small young.  The most interesting feature was what appeared to be single nest containing 1 LPC and 1 LBC.
