Hello subscribers

Another successful COG trip up the Molonglo Reach yesterday revealed significant Darter breeding, with activity much the same as last year (despite the different seasonal conditions), but including two nests on the now bare N bank.  In contrast Great and Little Pied Cormorant breeding activity was very low (2 nests with birds sitting on them each), with no Little Black Cormorant breeding observed.

Has anyone recently checked the breeding of the latter at the colony near the mouth of Sullivan's Creek this year, where this species now seems to breed, sometimes in very high numbers?
