Robin,
My thoughts were confirmed with 2 Dollarbirds flying in and out of the tree hollow at Corroberee Park this afternoon.

Robin,

I think the Dollarbird is nesting - there were two of them this morning and I was just able to see where I think their nest is. I will keep a check on them next time I visit. The hole in the tree is a perfectly round one very close to the Frogmouth nest site tree facing out towards Mt Aisnsie. I wish I had taken more notice so I could explain to you exactly where it was.
Couldn't see the Night Heron - infact over the past few days, Kelly's Swamp has been very sparce of bird life. Just a brown snake under Cygnus hide this morning.

Lindell,
many thanks for that Heron- well hidden! - Ill keep looking! Ive only seen one once before- from a sailing dinghy at Noosa.

And thanks too for the WW triller info from Corroboree- I havent seen one there.
Yesterday  a Dollarbird, after briefly visiting our powerlines, spent an hour or so in the park -I must look a bit closer to see that its not nesting there.

thanks
Robin

Hello Robin,
Yesterday we went out and sat in Ardia hide and watched the said Night-Heron tree.
We watched one fly into the centre tree and you could see the brown blop right in the middle of it, then another one flew from the right-hand tree past the centre one where the NNH was and down to where Margaret had taken the original photo but no matter how hard we look including walking to the clearing in the Kingston direction, we could no see it.
Photo shows the first one in the middle of the tree. 3pm-ish

Cheers
Lindell
