Many of the older, long time members of COG will remember
Raoul Boughton as the Warden of the Barren Grounds Bird Observatory. Raoul went
to America
about 9 years ago (if both Raoul’s, Anthony Overs’ and my collective
brains are working) to do his PhD. Raoul is back in Australia for a short
period with his family and is looking to collect some blood and cloacal samples
(with the appropriate permits) from live House Sparrows. He needs somewhere
between 20 and 40 birds. Do any COG members have numbers of House Sparrows that
Roaul could try and mist-net please? It is probably best to contact Raoul direct
