Hello Frank, I was there, with Eurobodalla Natural History Society and there was still pleanty (~800-1000 Waders). Including 2 Sanderling, 2 Great Knot +1 Peregrine Falcon chasing the lot. At Coila Lake there were ~40 Barwits, 1 Sharpie and 2 P. Golden Plover. Unfortunately weather conditions meant that we didn't have enough time to scan the flocks extensively for the BB Sand. Unfortunately, wader numbers had dropped significantly from last week - probably no more than 500 birds in total left. No sign of the BB Sand or any Sanderlings or Golden Plovers :( Mainly sharpies, stints and godwits, with a few Curlew Sands, Red Knot, RC Plovers, Turnstones, plus the odd Curlew and Pied Oyster. Nothing to speak of on Coila Lake. Still a great place to go, but not what it was a week ago! > > Regards > Frank Antram > > ******************************************************************************************************* > This is the email announcement and discussion list of the Canberra Ornithologists Group. > Please ensure that emails posted to the list are less than 100 kb in size. > List-Post: <> > List-Help: <> > List-Unsubscribe: <> > List-Subscribe: <> > List archive: <http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au/archives/html/canberrabirds> > List manager: David McDonald, email <> >
