Martin,
I'd be interested to know what the altitude is at Hoskinstown. Forshaw's Parrots of the World mentions they are found below 650 metres, which also makes Canberra on the edge.

Cheers

I have just been told of three recent observations of Superb Parrots on private property in the Hoskinstown area.

On a couple of occasions it was a pair of birds (my informant wasn't sure if the non-adult-male bird was an immature or a female, so I am being a bit sloppy in my use of the p-word). There are some old E. mannifera in the area so they may be exploring real estate. I will update details as they become available: I hope to go and check the site tomorrow evening.

Martin
