The neighbour in question is not bird oriented. Alas no Koel here. Nor a Pallid Cuckoo. And koalas are a bit thin on the ground :-)

Encouraged by Con's reference to the Aranda boobook, I should mention that a boobook is now an occasional visitor in Beacuhamp St Deakin. I had not heard it for several years until last week. It has visited our large E melliodora several times while calling.

I am pleased to note that it annoys my neighbour. His small dog annoys me so I am grateful to the boobook for restoring the balance of karma
