I was driving down the highway just outside Cooma this morning when I noticed a 
pair of birds to my right.
"Oh!  Emus!"
Then I looked more carefully, thought I might be hallucinating, stopped the 
car, turned around and got some photographic evidence.  I thought I was driving 
to Cooma, but somewhere along the way I ended up in Africa.

I presume they are farm escapees (see attached).  I can't imagine that the 
ordinary farm fences at the side of the road would be sufficient to keep them 
in!
