Hi Rod,In March this year we to saw these birds. As we are regular submitters to the BA Atlas of Australian Birds we sent in a sighting, which as expected in due course attracted an URRF. In reply we pointed out to the Atlas that in all probability the birds were escapees. However it would be worth keeping a record of the sighting as at some future date they may in fact become the nucleus of a feral population. Where we saw them was in a paddock close to the Monaro Highway in an area where there were no sign of buildings, yards, livestock or evidence of any human influences apart from fencing.
