Hi Neil!  I only saw 4 Black Tailed Native Hens at Kelly's Swamp today.  They 
were a bit closer than usual because the cattle were in their preferred spot.  
In the attached photo they're demonstrating how they got their name.

I'll have to spend some more time checking the huge numbers of birds on the 
settlement ponds and try to spot that duck!
