I returned to neline today with MP3 player full of the calls of Cicadabird to see if that would lure one out.  Unfortunately it didn't so this bogey bird is not yet wiped off my wish list

That being said the area was like a zoo exhibit of less common birds and summer migrants.  White-winged triller did seem to respond to the Cicadabird call (and I did check I was playing the right track).  Also in the area were Tree martins (nest across the track to the quarry), Rufous Songlark, Dollarbird, Sacred Kingfisher, Horsfield's Bronze-cuckoo, Brown Treecreeper and Peaceful Dove a brief but satisfying look at one the these close tothe Eastern fence - near where Isaw a display flight last year).

A COG member who shall be nameless suggested to me that this area shouldn't be referred as the Newline Quarry since the quarry is about 1km down the dirt road.  Being, as always, obedient i shall from henceforth refer to this as Newline Paddock.
