We did some bird watching around McDermott Place, Lake Ginninderra,
today. Many Indian mynas were present and there was nesting
activity. A bird was seen going into a hole at the corner of the
roof of the toilet block. Calls were heard coming from there. At the
other corner of the roof, a starling was nesting. Trees nearby were
shedding lots of bark and on 3 different trees, Indian mynas were
seen entering and leaving holes. Is it possible to put traps there?
Maybe not, as it is a reserve.
