Went up to look for the Powerful Owl at about 4.50 PM today.

Though we (again!) dipped on the owl, we saw:

4 eastern spinebills
1 eastern yellow robin
several fairy wrens (heard)
5 currawongs
2 gang gangs (male feeding hen. young hen or courtship?)
2 wood ducks
1 white browed scrubwren

We searched the rainforest gully but saw none of the reported whitewash, pellets or much less the owl!

Julian
