Yes- I first saw them back in Ainslie as early as 18th August on a brilliant frosty morning, when they made brief use of one of their favourite (but now felled) perch trees.

This is a really typical perch and posture for them. As distinct from Peregrine Falcons that I think don't perch so conspicuously most of the time. The Hobbies are clearly arriving back in Canberra this year again, right on usual time. As well as other observers, I also had one over my house last week.
