early this morning there were 2 black-winged stilts, close to the 4 native hens.  also 14 whiskered terns lined up on the log in the middle of Kellys.  A couple of black-fronted dotterels,  and a single chestnut teal with the grey teal. A little eagle, a black-shouldered kite and what I think was a black falcon (very dark, and lacking the facial markings of a brown falcon) were making everything a little nervous.  the single royal spoonbill I saw last week  seems to have left.
