We have lots of bowerbirds in our garden all year round it seems, and this morning we noticed a female or young male removing a fruit from below our comquat tree on the back porch. Closer inspection revealed that the bird has stripped virtually all the fruit from the tree. In previous years the tree  produced masses of fruit and this had been left entirely alone.
 
The birds have also removed all the pansy flower heads from some of the hanging baskets. We are trying to think of this as "tip pruning" and hope we get lots more fruit and flowers in due course.......
