Yesterday I walked out to my mail box and heard the distinctive predator harassing calls of both Magpies & Aust Ravens. Looked up to see a Wedge-tail Eagle flying right overhead. Just makes you think of how many observations are missed.

Half way down Mt Stromlo about three weeks back, a pair of WTEs just off side of road perched on dead timber. When they took off up the mountain one had a rabit.
About two weeks ago coming back from Tumut accross the mountains, WTE took off from side of road in the cleared forrest section and almost ran into the car, flew with me for a while trying to gain height. Then later in same trip in the euc forest section before Brindabella, another WTE in low trees near side of road. It really struggled to negotiate the trees when flying out. Also, one over Orroral Valley today.
