Size can be quite deceptive with birds, Paul, as you will find if you keep a close watch on those Grey Currawongs:

Geoffrey,

 

After viewing your representation of the "view across the flood plain

from the molonglo" I have to make one comment...  I am so glad that

the plovers/masked lapwings/whatever it is they are correctly called,

are NOT the size of angus cattle.  Can you imagine the grief they'd

give people walking by!?  I mean they'd start taking out the cars as

well as the walkers and bike riders. <grin>
