Good afternoon all, I received this from Peter while I was overseas. If anyone can help him please email him directly. I have replied personally to him. Thanks, Mark PS - yes I am the same MC who worked with Peter back in the late 1960's -----Original Message----- From: Peter Odekerken Sent: Monday, 18 May 2009 3:37 AM To: Subject: Gang Gang Hello Mark, Could you be the same Mark Clayton that I worked with so many years ago at CSIRO with Van Tets and Vestjens in the bird section? I am trying to complete work on cockatoos and am desperate to get photos of Gang Gang at the nest which is obviously some months away and also feeding on say hawthorn, cotoneaster, pencil pine, liquid amber or native trees. Also love to get images of them coming down to drink any behavioural aspects of their lives. Unfortunately, living in QLD makes it difficult to get info and do my own field work. If a site with any on these possibilities is available, I would jump on a plane and come down to achieve those goals. Can you or anyone help? You maybe interested in seeing my web site www.parrotimages.com.au which sort of highlights my long standing interest in the parrot family. Attached is an image of the Red-vented Cockatoo photographed recently on Palawan and is part of my commitment to help save this bird in the wild. Images and video are being used by the Katala Foundation which is a conservation group that have turned around the local poaches of this rare bird to being the wardens and caretakers on Rasa Island. I am helping them with my work to create a HD video to educate the local children and adults to conserve this bird. From 20 birds to in excess of 200 in 10 years I feel is not a bad result in a third world economy. I hope you or some of your friends can help me. Kind Regards, Peter. Attachment:
