Was a little surprised to flush two Stubble Quail earlier today. I haven’t seen or heard any since before Christmas, and I don’t recall any recent mentions on this list either. The habitat seemed slightly atypical, they were amongst large Yellow Box with not very long grass in the immediate vicinity, although there was plenty of taller grass nearby. I would guess that they are on the move and had stopped for a rest.

They were in the southwestern part of the reserve, along the main track and maybe 300 metres in from the carpark on Horse Park Drive. On the COG map of the reserve the area in question is just northwest of Burnt Stump Hill.
